*W4*Let Me Help You to Help You in The Long Run * W4*

                                                                     W4

Let’s help you to not owe taxes at the end of the year or to give you a little more back. If you are one of my customers and you owe after reading I’m going to be upset with you, seriously. This form does impact your taxes at the end of the year rather you want to believe it or not.
SO WHAT IS A W4? A w4 is a form that your employer gives you when you first start working at your job and it’s the Employees Withholding Allowance Certificate, it tells your jobs payroll people how much federal withholding to tax or hold from your paychecks. Once that form is filled out it will present a SPECIAL number and that SPECIAL shows the number of allowance you have, and by that Special number, they determine your withholding.
Hopefully, that part didn’t confuse you and your still here. Believe it or not, when I first started doing taxes I still didn’t know what to put for that special number. W4 form

When going through the paper to figure out this once again a SPECIAL number, you have to count your dependents because that’s where you get your exemptions. That’s a deduction of $4,050 (as of 2016 taxes). An EXEMPTION is basically a reduction of the amount of income that is taxable. if you make XYZ for the year and your have 3 dependent’s they reduce the amount of XYZ. Last year that number was $4,000 it changes each year don’t quote me on this but I want to say by inflation.
*if you can’t be claimed as a dependent by anyone else but yourself you then get one exemption for yourself. If you are married with 1 kid under the age of 19 then you get three, and so on.

THE MORE ALLOWANCES YOU CLAIM, THE LESS TAX IS BEING TAKEN OUT OF YOUR PAYCHECK.{ YOU HAVE MORE PEOPLE TO FEED SO YOU NEED MORE MONEY OUT OF YOUR CHECK, IS HOW I EXPLAIN TO CUSTOMERS}
-EACH ALLOWANCE REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF WITHHOLDING
-NORMALLY YOUR ALLOWANCES ARE YOURSELF, DEPENDANT KIDS, AND YOUR SPOUSE

The number you claim on your w4 doesn’t necessarily have to match the number you claim on your taxes.
Claiming less dependent’s on w4 means that you’re having more tax being withheld which can result in you being a happy person once you file your taxes because you are getting a bigger refund. Also look at it as you’re being the nice considerate person your parents raised you to be and you’re giving your wonderful government an interest-free loan.
If you had a lot taken out and didn’t get it all back lower your withholding. ITS YOUR MONEY AND YOU WANT IT NOW. Vice Versa if you claimed more allowances and didn’t have the means to do so your gonna owe them some taxes and you may be penalized.
Below I’m going to break it down a little more for whoever I may have confused, or I need to better elaborate so the concept is well understood.

These are my opinions this is what I would personally do, this is not me saying this is what anyone should do or this is the best thing to do. I AM ME AND YOU ARE YOU, AND THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO.

ONLY ONE JOB
-single one allowance

YOU HAVE A CHILD-
add another allowance; for each child (got 4kids do single with 5 one for you and all your children)

SINGLE BUT WORKING TWO JOBS
-single zero; due to more money higher tax rate you need more taken out.

STUDENT NO KIDS, NO SPOUSE UNDER 24 AND PARENTS  CAN CLAIM YOU
-Single zero allowances

MARRIED AND YOU BOTH WORK- I would say whoever is getting paid more or actually have a higher AGI needs should claim.
.Married and all the allowances (for higher AGI spouse)

      -Married zero allowances(lower paying job)

Another thing is you have a new baby or get married start another job I would suggest changing your w4.

Student Financial Aid and Assistance

It is now the end of MAY if you are a graduate (Congrats class of 2017) or returning to school you should have turned in fasfa and have received documents back. If anything you should have received your financial aid award letters. These letters are to inform you of the different amounts of aid you qualify for, such as the attendance cost, room and board and I  what they expect your family to help you out with. Yes these numbers are super exciting to see but don’t jump right into it, I know I know you are ready to leave and party like the rock star you always wanted to be. Become the young adults your parents have been scolding, molding and shaping you to be. I would suggest you wait until you have heard from all of the schools and see what fits you and your family’s budget.

While over the summer or the course of the months, since you have submitted your FASFA, things may have changed. If at all financially DONT FORGET TO INFORM FINANCIAL AID ADMINISTRATOR OF A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE. Send a letter and it doesn’t have to be lengthy at all of the circumstance and if you can send in some paper work to prove or to let them see what you are informing them of. Trust it will expedite the process for you.
Another thing make sure you keep copies of the things you send to them as well. That’s everything not only the changes that has been made. If you are transferring or returning to school make sure you have the school you are leaving/have left sends over all the necessary documents to your new school. Even if you are blessed enough to not need the FASFA.

Now before school starts will be a good time to do student loans and parent loans. Below are some links to a few with description. I can assist if you need help, or FASFA sent you verification of eligibility you need which they want to see w2 and tax documents. I can also assist and stir you in the right direction to get these forms if you or parents don’t have access to these any more.

STUDENT AND PARENT LOANS TO LOOK INTO:

It’s a ton out there, bad credit, cosigner, no cosigner, community college. I have tons of info on scholarships if I can be of any assistance let me know . The best thing to do is to go to a website like www.fastweb.com and let them ask you questions and see what you qualify for. I’m sure your school has let you know it’s just about a scholarship for everything, as well as how to apply and how to win scholarships if not I have slight clue or some helpful sources. Email tashastaxtalk@gmail.com and I will be more than happy to send over or assist with info.  Don’t forget to ask for recommendation letters. As well as sending a thank your letter. An accomplishment resume is always a good look too. Once again congrats and make college the best growing experience ever.

Donald TRUMP

                DONALD TRUMP

Have you seen the news on CNN ?
It’s crazy how people are just now seeing this guy for who he is. I personally believe he came in to run for office with an agenda. Trump is a business man. I solute him 100 percent on his business mindset. I am a firm believer money is the root of all evil and Trumps motive is money.
The way he responded to questions in the media, his mindless outburst to journalist was no way shape or form how any real human conduct themselves after the age of three.
Trump’s political positions, and his descriptions of his beliefs, let’s just say change more often then I do before leaving the house. He has shown to be so much of a contradiction through out his election campaigns as well as in office.
TRUMP GOES TO THE MIDDLE EAST TO STRIKE A DEAL. As I scratch the hell out of my head, thinking wasn’t he saying he has evidence they were behind 9/11. This man is crazy and all over the place. He is  populist authoritarian bigot he favors the  fortunate yes I mean the rich and he believes his is , so to speak life and everyone is below him.
He is causing a tangled web questions about the foreign policy of the United States—about its external purposes, its internal cohesion, and then wants to know its chances of success something we don’t know or can be answered right off the back. . Yet to understand a moment as strange as this, we need to untangle what has happened before it’s to late.
Angela Merkel Is confused as hell right now why he would be the only person not supporting the Paris climate treaty. Which supposedly he is suppose to withdraw hmm I wonder why. Nothing to do with the environment but I’m sure that look what he did for America smh.
Just like I tell my children and everyone else
PEOPLE AREN’T AGAINST YOU JUST FOR THEMSELVES .

Is Your Blog Taxable

If you are a paid blogger, and made over 400 dollars of income you have to report it on your taxes? Yes that is correct. That’s not just a blogger, a babysitter, hairdresser, self contractor. A self contractor or freelance your basically self employed you are given a 1099 MISC at the end of the year.  When given a 1099 MISC (miscellaneous) you have no taxes taken out.

😠 Yes I know disheartening to most. Your thinking you didn’t have enough taxes taken out, you are going to owe, and your are being self employment tax. What ever it is you do for work more then likely you have some kind of expenses. lets take a blogger for example, here are some expenses for you to claim

Blogger fees
  •  domain subscription
  • blog maintenance
  • the new mouse you bought because you are always clicking away,
  • the new laptop you have because it is used for work,
  • A portion of your home
  • hosting fees
  • supplies
  • internet
  • meetings
Those are some of the things that can be claimed for expenses. If you want to know more about the income portion it will be another blog for that. Find out if those gifts received, from other people for services count as something considered as income.
Another thing I would suggest would be a log it comes in handy when you need to know how much you paid out and how much income came in. KEEP RECEIPTS  IRS may ask for these to verify and see how you constructed these numbers.
Any questions you can email me. Also don’t forget to subscribe and or share the information. If there is any information you feel is helpful to other people leave in the comments. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
